In my view these are the best fish and chips in this part of Derby. It's a traditional fish and chip shop, though you can get a kebab if you really want one. With fish and chips this good though why would you choose anything else. If you want a large fish, it's worth asking the friendly team to pop one in while you are in the queue since they don't always have some ready.

From working in and around Derby, I've tried a few chip shops over the years in the city. After recommendation from a work colleague about Sussex Circus I decided next time I'm in the area I would call in. I'm so glad I did this is the best one by far. The fish was tasty and the batter was just right, chips were also cooked perfectly for me. The prices are very good in my opinion as so many other chip shops have gone up a lot in recent times. This is definitely my go to chippy if I'm around Derby ... cannot recommend enough !! Well done Sussex Circus Fish Bar.

My 2 local chippys in spondon have done nothing but dissapoint lately so i thought I'd try my old chippy in chad, and the difference was Better quality without skimping on portion sizes and price lower too, staff were great too. Definitely making this my go to chippy from now on.
